Topical Collection Information
Dear Colleagues,
This collection explores the complex interplay between artificial intelligence technologies—particularly large language models (LLMs)—and contemporary communication practices across digital platforms. As tools like BERT, RoBERTa, and GPT models are increasingly embedded in content moderation, user interaction, and media production, they are reshaping how we perceive, produce, and engage with information.
We invite scholarly contributions that address how AI mediates public discourse, amplifies or suppresses social voices, and intersects with digital governance. Topics of interest include AI-driven detection of emotional and psychological states, the ethics of automated moderation, and the role of generative AI in transforming journalism and storytelling. Interdisciplinary approaches combining communication, computational linguistics, psychology, and AI are especially welcome.
