Topical Collection Information:

Dear Colleagues,

Designing sustainable urban landscape architecture is an important aspect of the development of modern cities. It is aimed at creating an urban environment that will help improve the quality of life of residents, preserve natural resources and reduce the negative impact on the environment.

One of the main goals of designing sustainable urban landscape architecture is to create comfortable and safe spaces for pedestrians and cyclists. This can be achieved by creating wide sidewalks and bicycle paths, providing pedestrian areas with green spaces and benches.

An important aspect of sustainable design is also the use of natural resources efficiently and economically. For example, urban architecture may use a rainwater harvesting system to water green areas and irrigate public spaces. It is also important to provide green areas and parks that will help improve air quality and create a comfortable urban environment.

Designing sustainable urban landscape architecture must also take climate change adaptation into account. In connection with global warming and rising sea levels, it is necessary to provide measures to protect cities from floods and other climate changes. For example, this can be achieved by creating green roofs, using permeable surfaces and creating ponds to collect and retain rainwater.

In general, designing sustainable urban landscape architecture requires an integrated approach and consideration of various aspects such as social, economic and environmental. With proper design, urban environments can become more sustainable, comfortable and attractive for residents.

We are waiting for articles from authors from all over the world on this topic.

Best Regards,

Collection Editors
