This Topical Collection aims to explore the cutting-edge intersections of technology and English language teaching and learning. We invite contributions that delve into the myriad ways in which digital tools, platforms, and methodologies are transforming the landscape of ELT (English Language Teaching). The focus will be on practical applications, pedagogical innovations, and empirical research that showcases how technology can enhance learner engagement, improve learning outcomes, and facilitate more personalized and effective teaching practices.

Articles within this collection should address, but are not limited to, the following areas:

Innovative Technology-Aided Approaches: Examine novel uses of technology in ELT, such as

    • AI-driven language learning systems, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) applications, and mobile learning platforms.
    • Pedagogical Integration: Discuss how technology can be seamlessly integrated into existing teaching frameworks and curricula to enhance the learning experience.
    • Learner Engagement and Motivation: Explore strategies for leveraging technology to increase learner motivation, participation, and autonomy in the language learning process.
    • Assessment and Feedback: Present research on technology-enhanced assessment techniques that provide timely, accurate, and constructive feedback to learners.
    • Case Studies and Best Practices: Share real-world examples and case studies that demonstrate the successful implementation of technology in ELT classrooms.
  •
  • By contributing to this Topical Collection, authors will have the opportunity to share their insights, experiences, and research findings with a global audience of ELT professionals, educators, and researchers. Our goal is to foster a rich dialogue around the potential and challenges of technology-enhanced language learning, ultimately contributing to the advancement of the field and the improvement of language teaching and learning practices worldwide.
